Decem pre-Exhibition “AWAI”

Concept

Consciousness and body, spiritual world and material society, stillness and movement, the end and the beginning, yin and yang.
These polar opposites are contained within awai (the space in between).

The various pairs that exist in the world.
They may seem, at times, to exist at opposite extremes.

However, originally, opposites are encompassed within a continuous “circle.”

Decem returns these opposites, manifesting as the return to a whole that includes the space between them.

Background of the Event
It has been one year since I, Yuri Okada, began my art and creative activities under the name Decem.
(Decem is the name of my artistic practice.)

In this event, I share the world I express through Decem with the world and also reflect on my own gaze toward the world, which appeared as works even before the establishment of Decem.

Contents
There will be an exhibition of paintings, jewelry, and photography.
For jewelry, both full custom-made and semi-custom-made pieces will be available for order.
